The village of Saturnia is located around 100 km south of Florence in the Tuscan Maremma. Here you will find the natural thermal baths of Saturnia, which are not only one of the most popular, but also one of the oldest thermal baths in Tuscany. The Romans already appreciated the benefits of the warm water and built the “Bagno secco” here, the ruins of which can still be visited today. The name Saturnia comes from the Roman god Saturn, who, according to legend, founded the city. The Cascate del Mulino are waterfalls that let water flow from the Saturnia springs into natural thermal fields. The water flowing over rocks offers a unique and breathtaking view. The thermal fields are open to visitors all year round, free of charge and around the clock. The water has a constant temperature of 37.5 °C, so you can bathe in it without any problems even in winter.
